The area of City Hall...seems to take up a lot of space in the city. The reason why is, besides the usual designed building, which looks a little like a mini White House with a smaller dome head, is because... ...The yard around it is like a Yard of Fame! There's a thick intersection path leading to all four sides of the City Hall building. But right in the front of those sides were giant stone statues of some of the greatest Smashers of all times. On the rear was the dream-warrior, Kirby, and all his friendly-waving. On the left was the forest-living warrior, Link, brandishing his Master Sword to the heavens. I HAVE THE POWEEEEEEER!!!On the right was of course the goggled Pikachu, with all his adorableness. And in front of the front door, with the whole world in his hands...literally...was the legendary, all-mighty...Mario! But not just him. Helping him hold the world was a pair of hands...THE Hands. The statue was standing on a large platform, where many people usually loiters in. But on each corner where the Mario statue stand were other, but smaller statues. By the left of the building was the intergalactic bounty hunter, Samus, in her battle suit and her blaster ready for action. On the right was the space-pilot extraordinaire, Fox McCloud, standing like he's watching the sky. And from the other side of that statue was the secretive mercenary, Snake, looking like he's going to hide. And of course, standing like he's the coolest thing alive, on the other corner across Samus, was Sonic the Hedgehog. And the gang would probably be here, just approaching the statue area on the front. "Wow! And to think, I fought with THE Mario, and Sonic!" May just bounced up and down with joy after seeing those statues. The idea that those guys have statues in City Hall, and she fought with them....she couldn't bare the thought, it was amazing. (For those of you who played City of Heroes, just imagine City Hall like the one in that game.) (Just replace those statues with the said Smash characters. Sonic, Snake, Samus, and Fox are right by the Mario statue holding the world.)

"PI-KAAAA!" Pikachu said, probably akin to 'ta-daaa!', since he posed dramatically as he gestured to City Hall. He may not have been a vain Pikachu, but he still thought having his very own statue was kick-ass.

When Laharl came up to the building, he ended up looking at the statues. "Quite a collection of characters..." His eyes went back to Sonic and Mario...cue the fist shaking. "Those two...oh you can bet when we meet again, ill make them pay!" Laharl was still pretty sore from losing his last battle, he never loses, especially when its a hedgehog and a plumber....course in the end they DID have a robot boy and his dog help out, but it was still an embarrassing loss to the demon boy.

Zero said nothing as they approached the statues, though he did scan them to record their visages in his internal memory. These beings were clearly held in great respect on this world, and he had a feeling he would be encountering them in the flesh all too soon. He was vaguely surprised to see Pikachu among those represented. The tiny mouse was apparently far more important than Zero had given him credit for. Shifting his gaze to look past the statues, he spied a whitewashed building modeled after the architecture of the ancient Greeks a few yards away. He indicated it with a nod of his head. "Is that City Hall?"

"Mmm hmm..." he hummed, climbing up the stairs that led to the statue area. "That's it." "Yeah, I can bet you will." she said to Laharl, "And then get your butt kicked...again!" "Oh god..." grabbing her arm, Brendan tugged her. "Let's get this over with before-" Suddenly, a couple of kids 'stampeded' past Brendan, crowding around Pikachu. Why? You'll have to review back to the first post. Pikachu is one of the Smashers to have a giant statue here. He is one of the legendary Smashers after all. Poor little Pikachu will be surrounded by young children, asking him to sign autographs, or any kind of fan-stuff.

*SURROUNDED* Pikachu was at first surprized by the appearance of so many kids, and began waving his little arms before placing one behind his head in bemusement. After all, those kids likely wouldn't leave without anything. He happily began to sign all of the autographs and fan-stuff, before eventually escaping the crowd of children and bounding up the stairs to the City Hall.

If anyone were listening, they would hear a faint, almost... melancholy tune carrying on the air, the sound seeming to be whistling, far louder than human lungs could manage. Which made sense, considering Blues was neither human, nor did he have lungs. The android, who now looked as human as anyone else (with his clothing, at least), had spotted the Smash Hall, and assumed rightly it was his destination. If he recognized the statue of Pikachu, he gave no notice, his eyes sweeping across the very large amount of people present. The Light Bot had never liked crowds. A small frown crossed his face, interrupting the whistling, as he glanced behind him, towards his companion, and something of a guide at the moment. "... ... ..." Look, he still wasn't in the mood to talk. Lovely.

Little did the android know, that she too was not fond of crowds. And as strange as it was, the crowd itself seemed to be very much aware of this, and made room for them both as they passed. However, they did snap photos of the smash celebrity, pointing at Blues and asking each other various questions about him. Samus just waved casually at the crowd, eliciting various cheers and cat calls from the males. Someday, she figured she would have to beat the stuffing out of the first man who cat-called her that season. You see, Samus didn't always fight in her zero suit. It wasn't even necessary until the Subspace Emissary incident and the inclusion of Smash Balls. Photos had leaked from the incident of her in the suit, and she was forced to fight in the form-fitting suit in that years tournament. Lovely. She much preferred to stay in her power suit. She felt respected and feared, not getting shouted and whistled at by every male fan as she fought. Unfortunately, now even in her power suit, she was no longer safe. The only ones that truly respected her were her fellow smashers, her friends and rivals. For now, Samus could only roll her eyes and curse under the safety of her soundproof helmet as she ascended the stairs to Smash Hall.

Laharl glared at May while his hair stood up in the air. "You wanna start somethin, kid?!" Then his eyes turned to Pikachu as he was ganged up on by his fans, he just blinked at the crowd while walking past them to Pikachu. "Must be nice having adoring fans." Then he smirked. "But of course, I have admirers back at the castle. Not counting a certain devil girl who SHOULD show me respect!" He clenched his fist a bit when he remembered Etna, it was her fault he ended up in this world in the first place. Then again, it wasn't all bad.

Zero nodded as Seth confirmed his suspicions. "Then I will meet you inside." With a sudden burst from the jet thrusters in the soles of his boots, Zero leaped over the entire staircase and dashed into the building like a red bullet. In a mere two-point-five seconds his long yellow ponytail vanished as the front doors closed behind him. Zero paused after entering the interior and glanced around for a few moments, recording it into his memory and noting the presence of more statues than outside. Interesting. Unfortunately he couldn't afford to get distracted or waste time during a mission, so investigating them further would have to wait. Zero quickly scanned the statues into his memory for later while striding through the lobby at a fast clip. Jet thrusters would likely as not be a hindrance indoors -- quarters were cramped and there were a great many people walking around that he might accidentally crash into. Best to play it safe, since he didn't wish to alarm anyone yet. It bears repeating that there were a LOT of people in City Hall. Luckily, the front lobby was two stories tall and thus could contain them with ease. A multitude of characters from both This World and Offworld were walking around, either in groups or on their own; a couple tours were taking place, with guides showing off the statues to eager crowds who fumbled for their cameras. Dozens upon dozens of voices mingled together to create a steady, monotonous drone that Zero hastily tuned out. A large cluster of people had congregated near the back of the lobby, near a staircase that led to the upper floor; Zero could barely make out a desk with harried attendants beyond the throng. He tilted his head at the sight, hypothesizing that perhaps this was where the signups took place. A long line of people emerged from the rear of the crowd like the tail of a mouse; it coiled and snaked around the back of the lobby like a moebius strip of tedium. Zero narrowed his eyes at it, not appreciating the prospect of a multi-hour wait. Of course it was entirely possible that the line was for some other service beyond signups. He needed more information first. Zero glanced around his immediate area. Aha, there was a person he could talk to. Zero called out to the boy as he passed by: "Excuse me, do you have a moment?" The boy pulled the brim of his dark hat lower over his face, shaking his head at the summons and increasing his pace. "No, I'm not him. Sorry, you've got the wrong guy." He vanished into the crowds of tourists without so much as an explanation. Zero stared after him, blinking in puzzlement. Well, that was a waste of time, he thought to himself with a small frown. It appeared he would be doing a lot of that very shortly. With a resigned sigh, Zero turned to City Hall's doors to look for May and Seth. He was fairly confident that at least they would help him.

"I wanna finish something is what I'm...HEY!!!" Again, Brendan tried to pull her away. Such a task a challenge when May was much stronger than him; pulling against his mere strength. "Don't...pull me!" "May, there's going to be a huge line if you waste time, you know!" "Oh yeah!" Sticking her large tongue at Laharl, May then grabbed Brendan's arm and raced throughout the statue area in a speed of a race car. The girl knocked the doors open when she stopped, gawking at the sea of people, humans, anthros, you name it. "AAAWWW! There's a freakin huge line! Now what?" The boy was on his knees after experiencing that wild ride. He really couldn't stand May's seemingly unlimited energy. "Uh...I don't think EVERYONE is registering to battle here, so this might not be it; Probably just for everyday stuff." "WHEW!!!" She felt a huge weight fly off her shoulders, as she dropped to her knees. "So...where do we sign up?" Still on his knees with her, Brendan frowned. "You're the one who's into this Smash stuff. You tell me." "Oh...you're no help." Frowning, May jumped to her feet and walked off. "Fine, I'll ask for directions..." The boy shook his head, wondering why she's so immature. I thought girls mature faster than boys. Brendan then noticed Zero looking at his direction. With a sheepishly smile, Brendan shrugged.

Of course, the veteran smasher had no such problems finding out which line was the one where Smashers went to sign up for the tournament. Making sure that Laharl was following his little yellow form, Pikachu immediately headed for a line that was surprisingly short, at least compared to all of the other lines in the Smash Hall. This was because while the Smash Tournament was insanely popular, only a small amount of new people signed up for the actual fights, and only a handful of those Newcomers would actually make it to the main tourney. Not to mention, beyond the core veterans, some of the newcomers decided to not come back. Regardless, Pikachu sighed as he got in line to sign up and looked at all of the Newcomers in front of him. It was gonna be a boring, boring wait. And annoying. The electric mouse was normally too small to be easily seen in a crowd like this, and only a well-placed electric shock would make Newcomers realize they had just cut in front of someone.

Blues only glanced at some of the crowd who'd chosen to stare at the little Newcomer, still whistling as he went into the city hall... And now he was in the same boat as Zero, having no clue which line he needed to be in.

Luckily for the yellow rodent, a certain pink princess was in front of him in the line. She turned just to see who had stepped up, only to see her old friend there. "Hello Pikachu!" She squeeled, kneeling to pet the Pokémon. "You're entering again too?" She smiled at him, happy to know yet another friend would be joining again. Samus simply motioned to Blues to follow her as she made her way over to the short line Pikachu was in. Any of the crowd that didn't get out of her way, she just walked around.

Zero's gaze glided smoothly from Brendan to the group of people he'd met outside, who were all walking toward a surprisingly short line that was almost hidden from view by the crowds in the lobby. He wasn't the only person to notice. As Samus strode by what happened to be her very own statue out in the lobby, the groups of tourists clustered around its base all turned to stare, point video cameras, and take pictures. Camera flashes filled the air as people stumbled over each other to catch a glimpse of the Veteran. Unlike with Pikachu, however, nobody dared ask Samus for an autograph -- she looked quite intimidating in her Power Suit and none of the tourists wanted to get close. This is also why the crowd of people parted before her, giving the Chozonian warrior a wide berth as word of her arrival spread like wildfire. The people following Samus' movements finally noticed the line she'd arrived at. Somebody pointed and shouted, "That's Princess Peach and Pikachu!" More people turned to look, and general chaos erupted when their eyes confirmed that yes indeed, three Veterans were visiting them all at once. Zero was genuinely surprised when at least three reporters seemed to pop up out of nowhere, chattering excitedly into their microphones as their cameramen grabbed whatever footage they could get of the scene. "--Celebrity Convention here today, as famous Smash Veterans Samus Aran and Pikachu join Princess Peach Toadstool in line--" "--appear to be escorting several Newcomers--" "--known to be somewhat antisocial, not often seen in public--" "--in the signup line for the latest Smash Bros. tournament, it appears--" "--crowd is screaming, Brian, I'm not sure if you can hear me over it--" "--will attempt to ask a few questions--" Zero turned to stare at the remarkably suicidal reporter who'd made the last statement. She was dressed in a pink business suit with a gaudy oversized microphone in one hand, her hair done up in a large, poofy mass of curls that would have made Ganondorf jealous. She was shoving her way through the crowd with little concern for the well-being of those in her way as her hapless cameraman did his best to follow her. "Samus Aran!" She called out, waving her arms over her head to grab the warrior's attention. "A moment of your time, if you don't mind?" Zero frowned ever-so-slightly as he watched what was bound to be a scene of some sort start to unfold. He caught Brandan's eye again amid the dull roar and frenzied movement of the excited crowd and motioned with his head for the two Pokémon Trainers to follow him. Then he began making his way through the horde of people towards the back of the line, focusing his audio receptors on what he could hear up ahead. With a final burst of effort the reporter got through the crowd and into the small clearing around Samus herself. Taking a quick moment to smooth her wrinkled suit and tuck away a couple strands of hair that had gotten loose, she lifted her microphone and began to speak into it. "This is Samantha Bee of the Smashionista News reporting in with an exclusive interview of famous reclusive veteran Samus Aran! Greg, you getting this?" She turned briefly to find her cameraman, who had finally caught up with her. "Good. Now, Ms. Aran-" Samantha turned back to address the woman in the Power Suit, "Our viewers have quite a few questions to ask you concerning your recent change in wardrobe. As you may be aware, skintight latex is now the hottest thing with young fashionable women in Smash City. How do you feel about spearheading such a movement?" She shoved the microphone towards Samus's helmet.
