The Battlefield Fortress. A walled town surrounded on all sides by an arid desert. It had been deserted during the events of the Subspace War by people afraid of it being taken over by Tabuu's forces, but with the help of Marth, Meta Knight, and Ike, peace was restored and the town once again regained its civilians. The desert that surrounded the town was of little interest to most people. Besides hosting but a few of the battles waged during the Subspace War, it was simply seen as an obsticle for travelers wishing to visit the fortress. However, for but a moment, the desert contained something of far greater interest than it had previously: A portal opening a few feet off the ground a mile or so away from the fortress. It did not appear to be a very welcoming portal; it was nearly pitch black, tenticles lashing out from within and oozing with some sort of ungodly substance... Corruption. However, for a split second, a shining light could be seen radiating from the center of the warp, cutting through the darkness. Then, without warning, a man came tumbling out of the portal, hitting the ground with a lack of grace he wasn't quite acustomed to. Regardless, the man quickly sprung to his feet and dusted himself off, getting into a defensive position to ward off any would-be attackers that would try to take advantage of his awkward entrance. The Prince took in his surroundings, keeping his eyes open for Ahriman's forces from any angle. However, his preliminary scan didn't seem to show any Corrupted standing around. Instead, all he could see was desert... And what looked like a walled city about a mile away. With a small smirk, he lowered his guard; there was no danger here, and civilization was a short walk away. "Hey, you call that a terrifying finishing move, Ahriman?" the Prince yelled to seemingly no one in particular, "Having your Wizard teleport us out of a dangerous temple and near a city after his death? What, did he fail out of Evil Academy or something?" He let out a small chuckle before looking around and suddenly realizing something: He was alone. That meant no dangerous foes, thankfully, but that also meant he couldn't find... "... Elika?" He surveyed the area again. And again. But he couldn't find his partner, the woman who was just fighting alongside him moments before. "Elika! Where are you!?" Pausing, he looked upwards towards the sky. The portal was still there, still black with Corruption. The two of them had gone in, but so far, only he had come out... "... ... ..." Ormazd, you sure as Hell better let her make it through...

Several tense moments passed as the Prince stared up into the portal. But no matter how hard he stared at it, no matter how much he threatened Ormazd himself, Elika did not come through. But just as all seem lost, and the Prince would have turned away, a familiar screaming could be heard. "..... craaaaaaaaAAAAAAP!" As if almost on cue, the last of the Ahura was tossed out of the portal...right on top of the poor unsuspecting Prince. The light began to fade...and soon even the Corruption vanished, as if it had never appeared.

The Prince suddenly and unexpectedly found himself lying on the desert sands once more. This time, however, Elika was now sprawled on top of him... A position he ironically had found himself in once before under equally unintentional circumstnaces. Despite his intense relief about being reunited with his partner, he kept it all hidden inside, instead pefering to simply give a cheeky grin to the Ahura laying on him. "... You know, we really ought to stop meeting like this. People are gonna start spreading rumors."

"Ha....ha....ha..." Softly moaned the maiden of dawn, as she treked through the desert. Micaiah had spent the entire day healing the injured in Crimea, then quietly took her leave. However, her Healing Hand skill has taken too deep a toll on her strength, Micaiah thought she had enough power left over to keep going. She was wrong. *chirp chirp* Cried the red bird of the maiden's, trying to keep her spirits up. "Yune...I am fine..." But every step she took continued to drain her energy away, not to mention the harsh condition of the desert which only added to the heavy toll. She couldn't take it, Micaiah was at her end. "....So...the..." The silver haired girl collapsed on the sands, dropping her spell book as well. The desert winds blew past her, slighting picking up the unconsious girl's hair and scarf. Yune, the girl's pet bird, started flying around her, chirping like mad. Then flew off to get some help, only to find the pair who arrived.

Elika groaned and pushed herself off the Prince, her heart body sore from the Prince's bad joke rough landing. Dusting herself off, she looked around, only to find the desert very unfamiliar. Somewhere out in the distance, she could have sworn there was a figure sprawled out in the desert sand. "What is that...?" But before she could even have the chance to muse over her own question did a red bird suddenly fly up, making all sorts of noise and flying about them as if they had disturbed her nest, before flying towards the figure Elika had spotted. "There's someone out here!" She yelled over her shoulder. Without even really considering the potential danger of moving towards what may be a trap, or even just a mirage, Elika ran for the figure.

The Prince had just managed to get up off the ground for a second time by the time he saw Elika run towards the fallen figure. He, being much more savvy to the outside world than the Princess was, quickly caught up to her and grabbed her by the arm. "Woah, woah, woah... Wait a second," he warned, pulling her back to a stop, "okay, Elika? Forget Ahriman, that's the kind of trap common thugs set up. Look, first rule of survival: Before you go running towards anyone that looks like they're in trouble, make sure they aren't going to repay you with a sword in your back." After saying this, the Prince turned and looked at the person lying in the sand himself. He couldn't spot any other people hiding nearby, and the person didn't look very much like a lowlife herself, but... He wasn't taking any chances, especially not now.

The second Prince finished his rant and insults, Yune flew around the Prince, pecking and chirping madly at the man. *CHIRP CHIRP*

As soon as the red bird had starting attacking the Prince, Elika wrenched her arm from his grasp, backing away a few steps. "And what if that person does need our help?!? I'd rather walk into a trap than let them die because I decide to play it safe!" Without giving the Prince another chance for protest, Elika took off once again, soon getting close enough to the figure to make it out clearly. "By Ormazd...what's a child doing here??"

After having Elika escape from his grasp, the Prince decided to focus on the bird that was currently harassing him. "Hey... Leave me alone..." the Prince insisted, taking a few swats at the bird in hopes of shooing him off, "What did I do to you, huh?" Soon, the Prince gave up on the bird and, ralizing that he wasn't going to be able to convince the Ahura otherwise, followed Elika towards the downed figure... still keeping his hand near the hilt of his sword just in case.

Yune flew away from the Prince, then down to Micaiah, softly pecking at her cheek. "Ngh..." Micaiah softly moaned out, opening her eyes half way. She could see two figured, but couldn't make them out quite yet. "?"

Elika was only a few yards away when Micaiah began to stur, and soon the Princess was kneeling over her, concerned for the well being of the young woman. "Are you alright? Quick!" She looked to the Prince. "We need to get her to some shade."

Seemingly satisfied that the threat was real (or, at least, wanting to avoid being yelled at by Elika again), the Prince walked over and helped Elika carry the girl. Not before pointing out a slight flaw in her plan, though. "Okay, Princess, where do you propose we put her?" he asked with an obvious hint of sarcasam, "Because I think finding shade might be a little hard in the middle of a desert."

Eventually, the silver haired maiden woke up. "Huh?" She looked around the sand dunes, and suddenly noticed she was being helped up. Micaiah looked up at the Prince and Elika. "!" By impulse, she suddenly pushed away from the Prince. "NO!" [dice=6] [rand=45457781412691118336581310806342095599278798431334629385471414327]

[dice=6] Although caught off-guard by her sudden awakening, the Prince managed to keep his grip on the girl. The last thing he wanted was her to run off before any explanations could be exchanged. "Hey, calm down," he ordered, "we're the good guys here... As much as I hate to admit it... What's your name?"[rand=855142608238035334967407906512526475148069337165836982826583655775]

The girl didn't know how strong this man was, and obviously couldn't even put up a good fight due to her drained energy. But since he said he wasn't evil, she had no choice but to trust him. And the other person seemed nice enough. "...M.Micaiah, I'm a fortune teller." She managed to get out, sadly Micaiah still didn't trust him yet.
