"Ah! Yes, I did!" She quickly took the book from the Prince and bowed. "Thank you." And as quick as that, she ran over to the fiery demon and looked him in the eye. "What is this thing's weak point..." Pondered the mage out loud. Then she saw Elika defend against the fireballs, curious as to how she did it. This woman may be a mage too...

The book back with its rightful owner, the Prince turned just in time to see Elika try to block the incomming fireballs with a wall and only half succeeding. He quickly ran over and kneeled down by her side. "Hey, you alright? Please tell me Ormazd saw fit to fireproof you, too." That second line was said in the Prince's usual sarcastice tone of voice, often used when he was refering to Elika's god of choice.

"I'm fine...nngh. We've got to stop him!" With a little wincing, Elika got back on her feet. She couldn't take a hit the way the Prince could, the fireball may not of burned her, but it knocked the wind out of her, and even now she was still breathing heavily. "I'm not sure how I did that..."

"Weaknesses are for lesser beings, and I am no lesser being." the fiend hissed. Insulted by this, he built up a smash attack, which caused a massive fireball like before pointed at Micaiah. "You..." [dice=10] [dice=10] [dice=10] "RrrrrAAAGH!"[rand=01190743291389656527855321912625748851320760866246033708361473162]

[dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] As she side stepped and spun around the two fireballs, she failed to notice the last one striking her chest hard. "!?" She looked down at the flames eating at her and fell back yelling. "Ahhhhh!" She clutched her chest hard as she started to vanish in a bright light, looking over at Prince and Elika. "I...I'm sorry..." Was the last they heard, when Micaiah disappeared...and what appeared in her place was a life sized version of her, frozen above a golden trophy base. Micaiah was gone.[rand=31123038264927968666393527685292750488550188001310076446659714178]

The Prince simply stared slackjawed as he watched the young mage vanish in a bright light, leaving only a trophy in her place. He had heared (and seen) many incredible things, but someone in their weakness turning into a statue, let alone one so intricately detailed... That was new. However, the one question that was on his mind (well, besides if the base of that thing was pure gold, anyway...) was who caused it. Did Micaiah transform herself to prevent a mortal blow, or was it a curse placed on her by the demon? Well, seeing how one of the two parties involved wasn't going to be talking any time soon, the Prince quickly turned towards Zedonius. "Hey, bat-boy! What did you do to her!?"

Elika stared at the trophy for a long moment, her expression a mix of horror and shock. "In the name of Ormazd..." Never in Elika's life had she heard of any magic or curses that could do such a thing to a human; yet with her own two eye she saw the trophy atop the golden stand. "What magic is this?!?" She stared up at Zedonius, new found anger further feeding the holy flames that danced in her palms.

Zedonius gazed at the trophy, "...I'm not quite sure. I've never encountered anything like this." He landed on the ground and walked over to the trophy before cocking his head to the right. "A statue...did the Archfiend bestow upon me a new power?"

(Collab Post)However, what Zedonius failed to realize was that, by inspecting the trophy, he had left himself wide open once again. The Prince took advantage of this. Grabbing Elika by the arm, he rushed foward and vaulted up the demon's backside, tossing Elika up above the monster's head as he climbed over it and landed in front of him. "ELIKA, NOW!" Elika nodded as she twisted her body midair, allowing the holy fire she kept inside her to erupt from her limbs. using her own magic to propel her down, Elika slammed her feet into Zedonius' head as hard as she could. [dice=6] Before flipping in midair and doing the same thing again, before flipping off and landing safely behind the Prince. [dice=6] Almost immediately after she landed, the Prince then rushed foward and followed up her barrage with three slashes of his sword. [dice=6] [dice=6] Zedonius was smacked by both of Elika's attacks. He growled, but didn't have too much time to react to the oncomming Prince... [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] The first slash caught him off guard, but he managed to backflip away from the other two. "Quite persistant." He coughed once while staring the both of them directly into the eye. He stared coldly into the eyes of the Prince and Elika as he slowly rose into the air, his hands covering his body. Zedonius began to swoop down toward the two, but first, he combusted so that he would scorch his enemies. (Smee said not to roll for this attack. Story driven moment.)[rand=521898205758069133412948445927215154501198526415087410654267208783]

The Prince had just enough time to stare at Zedonius and realize just how screwed he was before getting hit by the incomming beast. The impact sent the Prince flying backwards and slamming into a raised wall on the tower. Once again, there was little sign that the flames had any effect on him, but the sheer amount of physical abuse he was reciving was begining to take its toll. "Darn... You and your... Stupid... Archfiend..."And then he simply slumped to the ground. He wasn't KOed quite yet, but he was quickly becomming too exhausted to keep fighting... And with Zedonius still very much alive, that wasn't a good sign.

The princess had no time to move out of the way of Zedonius' unexpected attack, being slammed into the wall just as the Prince had been. Struggling to regain the breath knocked out of her, and her head spinning and throbbing from the pain of the impact, Elika mustered what little strength she could. attempting to move in front of the Prince to protect him...only to end up with her slumping over him, too weak to fight on anymore.

Zedonius laughed. "Worthless." He took a few steps forward toward the two and bent down, "Believe it or not, I had faith in you. It was fun until now, when you are beginning to tire out and die." He stood up, putting his foot against Elika's head, pushing slightly, but with enough force to send her on her back. "Such a short amount of endurance you two primates have. Absolutely no comparison to a fiend such as I." He turned his back, "I am feeling forgiving today. I will give the both of you one more chance to submit." A smile went across his face as he went to look the both of them once more in the eyes. He lifted his hand, which was now covered in fire. "If you so choose to decline. I will end you, right here."

Despite being incredibly exhausted, the Prince still found the energy to defiantly lift his sword and stare Zedonius straight in the eye, even as he laid there with a passed-out Elika by his side. "You can take your 'forgiveness' and your 'endurance' and shove it up your koos, you demon."

Zedonius didn't quite know what a koos was, but he still got the message. "Hahaha...persistant creature." he shook his head, "No matter. Your fate has been decided." Zedonius kept his arm up for a moment and allowed the burning flames to build. Once it has reached a high, unbearable level of heat, he threw his arm forward, ready to smash it into their soft, tired, bodies.
