Battlefield Fortress: The Prince and the Pauper

Fate had a funny way of turning a situation around, and fortunately for the Prince and Princess a lucky star shined above the group, seeming to grow more and more. Strangely though as it got closer it wasn't appearing to be a star at all, but a human. The young man fell down to the group, closer and closer at amazing speeds until finally...

Land, CLASH. Echoed across the battlefield, as his steel met Zed's claws.

The young man simply stood there, holding a single edged red blade blocking the demon hand; the winds flowing through slightly to flutter his scarf a bit. The swordsman looked around to the trophied Micaiah with Yune trying to revive her by pecking her stand, but was too weak. Then to the Persian couple laying on the ground, and finally Zedonius. He looked directly into his demonic eyes with his gentle gaze. "...."

Zedonius looked confused, though did not let his power level decrease as he stared the newcommer in the eyes. His hand was still locked with the sword. "More humans? Don't make me laugh. I've already dealt with three of you quite easily." He reached out his hand to grab at Lloyd's collar.

[Mage]

"!" Zed wouldn't find Lloyd such an easy mark however, as he ducked down from the attack and pulled out his second blue blade. Covering his lower jaw with his arm as he rose the sword up, and on his left hand the gemstone on his glove shone softly. With a glint in his eyes, he leaped up and down at the demon, slashing upward and back down below with his blades. "TIGER BLADE!"

Zedonius flew upward to avoid the attack, then flew back down toward Lloyd. Zedonius was also on fire, almost like a meteor crashing onto the earth's surface.

When he came crashing down, Lloyd simply did a backflip and landing on his feet, one knuckle down on the ground holding one sword and one blade up. Lloyd slowly stood up. "Let me ask you a question, what world is this?" Yeah, Lloyd knows he isn't home, or anywhere else for that matter.[rand=9477972079535862468166197833086667014191964593153009065700538203214]

The Prince was... more than a little surprised by the sudden appearance of the swordman in front of him. However, he seemed to be fighting Zedonius, and the enemy of one's enemy is a friend...

"Don't ask me, we just got here, too," the Prince replied, motioning towards Micaiah's trophy, "she seemed to know, until Zedonius here decided to do his best Medusa impression on her."

He then tried to slowly get up, only to quickly slump back down in a combination of pain and exhaustion.

"Uh... Keep doing what you're doing, I'll back you up once I stop being in excruciating pain."

[Mage]

When the Prince spokee, Lloyd's eyes rolled to his direction; still keeping Zed in sight with the corner of his eyes. "I see...." Then he turned to Micaiah and Yune, still pecking at her trophy. Then the bird flew over to Lloyd and the Prince chirping loudly. "By the sounds of the chirps, I don't think she's dead. Why don't you try waking her back up somehow." Lloyd readied his twin swords and gave his full attention to Zedonius. "I'll keep this one at bay." In a flash the young man ran full speed at him and leaped up slightly, only to twist his body and swords around at him, rotating like copter blades. "TEMPEST!"

Zedonius was hit by the first blow but flew out of the way of the rest of the attacks. He coughed, "Impressive." He assumed what seemed to be the fedal position in mid air, and pulsated. He was CHARGIN' HIS LAZA BEAM charging up a powerful technique. Soon enough, Zedonius allowed his body to open up and he was covered in a massive amount of fire. Soon, Lloyd would see 3 fireball smash attacks coming his way.

"NGH!" The fireballs struck Lloyd fast and hard, but he did another backflip in the air and landed on his feet in time. "Not through yet!" The swordfighter then ran up to Zedonius once again, and leaped up slashing down. "YAH!"

Zedonius saw the blade head for him and lunged forward and grabbed Lloyd's sword mid-swing. "Do you expect me to fall for such a slow swing of a blade?" Zedonius aimed to grab Lloyd's neck.

And then lift him in the air, choking him...combusting into flame.

Afterward, he would throw him down to the ground, head first.

"GAH!" Zedonius was successful in grabbing, swinging AND burning Lloyd right down to the ground. But as the ground got closer, he regained his second wind and did a tuck and roll before landing on his feet. "Damn! He's stronger then I thought..." Lloyd was serious now, he ran up to Zedonius and leaped up to him. "Allow me to return the favor! OMEGA TEMPEST!"

But he wasn't finished quite yet. When he suddenly got out of his spin, he then performed a deep dive attack down at the demon. Wind pressures suddenly tightening up around the airspace. "RISING FALCON!"

As the fight went on, the Prince slowly felt the pain subside somewhat. At least, it was enough for him to actually start moving again without falling back in pain. It still wasn't enough to get back into the fight quite yet, but it was better than nothing. Noting the boy's remark and the bird's constant chirping, he made his way over to the trophy of Micaiah.

"Yeah, of course she's not dead..." the Prince mumbled sarcastically to himself, "She just turned into a statue. Totally different."

He eventually reached her, only to be completely stumped with the obvious challenge of how to actually 'wake her up' as the boy put it. His attempts mostly consisted of whacking the trophy upside the head with... predictable results. With a frustrated grunt, the Prince looked back at Yune.

"... I don't suppose you have any ideas, do you?"

Elika, now having regained some of her strength back, got up and slowly walked over next to the Prince. "Maybe if we touch the gold stand...?" Gently she reached out, and touched the golden stand, immediately drawing her hand back with a start as the statue began to glow...

*SHWING!*

Zedonius was struck several times by Lloyd's Omega Tempest, but after the 4th strike he caught on and avoided the last two strikes. He grabbed Lloyd's arms with his own and looked him directly in the eye. "Hmph. Caught me off guard human. Don't think yourself any luckier than that."

RISING FLACON!

Zedonius was brushed against his body, and it stung, but he could take the blow. "Augh...very. VERY persistant. Almost as persistant as you are irritating." Zedonius' lower arms lifted Lloyd in the air, holding his body tight, while the upper arms punched him across the face a few times. "Expect a miracle if you wish to survive after that little stunt."

"Gah!" As Zedonius punched Lloyd hard, he dropped one of his twin swords. The red blade stabbed on the floor of the tower. "...this isn't over...I can still..."

And with a bright light, Micaiah was reborn. She stumbled around a bit, holding her head. "Ngh...where?" She looked up, as her blurry vision was returning to status quo. She saw the Prince and Elika, her newfound aquantances. But then she saw a new swordsman being held by the same demon that trophied her. "!" She ran past the Persian couple and jumped at the demon. "You will not harm him!" She opened her book and glowed more light, softly in her hand. "THANI!" The orb of light appeared over Zed, and dropped at him hard. Rising a powerful pillar of golden light.
