Near the end of the forest line, a group of warriors were running through the sea of trees. One of which is Ike, leader of the Greil Mercenaries, and this current group. "We're almost there Ranulf! Looks like smooth sailing from here on out!" Ike's mentioned friend, Ranulf, agreed with him. "Yep, once we're past the forest, its a straight run to the city!" He looked behind him at the others. "Lady Ammy, Sir Arthur, how are you two holden up?" He asked his new allies.

The knight, while he'd been managing to keep up with the group, even in his heavy armor, didn't seem to be tired at all. "I hath traveled far greater than this trifling distance in my travels. I shall be fine."

"Are you kidding me? Cross-Country Ammy's ran much farther than this, without breaking a sweat!" Issun bragged. It was true, though. Ammy was having an easy time keeping up with her companions, after all, a goddess doesn't need rest or sleep...but a doggy nap is always nice.

Unfortunately, Ike's predictions of 'smooth sailing' would prove to be incorrect, as at that very moment, they were being watched... He was currently perched in a tree, carefully studying the characters below him. He was their best sniper, and his objective was clear: Take out at least one of these people and weaken their numbers. That way, when the time came to overtake the land, there would be less resistance. World domination, that was their goal, and they would acomplish that, one person at a time. He aimed his crosshairs across the potential targets: Two humans, a wolf, and some guy with a cat tail. But who to choose?... Eventually, he decided on the wolf, 'cuz shooting woodland animals was fun. His target locked-on, he aimed his gun... And pulled the trigger. ... Sending a plunger flying at high-velocity straight at Ammy's face. [dice=6][rand=8698487664372125522977061366631645684087084941566784114103203986]

[dice=6] Poor Ammy was none the wiser of the sniper's presence, let alone of the plunger headed straight for her head... "Hey fur ball, do you hear something?" Issun asked..a whizzing sound flying through the air..but it was too late. TWUNK!!! The plunger hit dead on, straight between the eyes. Ammy was effectively rendered blind. Ammy couldn't help but thrash and whine and yelp as she tried to get the foreign suction thing on a stick off of her face. Of course...there was something that only made matters worse. "AAACK HELP ME!!!" Issungave out a muffled scream...unfortunately, the plungers just happened to trap the bug-artist as well.[rand=0970798172017826741856466189114671108099442066039631675213355553]

When he heard Ammy's cries for help, Ike immediately stopped and ran to her. "Ammy!" He came up and blinked at the weapon in her face. "...Plunger?" But he shook his head and pulled it off. "Where did this come from..." The cat man sniffed while looking around the trees. "Well either we're being ambushed, or a plumber has some odd grudge against Ammy." He blinked when he caught a certain scent. "Animals...possibly a few of them, but its hard to make out the scent beyond this. The wind's blowing in the opposite direction." Ranulf looked at the others. "Keep your guard up!"

Upon hearing Ammy's distressed yelps and whines, Arthur immediately held, not his sword, but a lance, in his hand, searching the trees for the source of the attack. "I doth believe we art being ambushed... But from where, I doth not know..."

The goddess was extremely greatful when the plunger...odd name...was pulled off her face, freeing her companion. But as much as she wanted to thank Ike, that would have to wait. Growling, Ammy carefully looked around, ready to attack her assailant immediately.

Curses... The plunger was obviously ineffective on the wolf. And he thought it would be an easy target, having no hands of its own to pull the plunger off... Undaunted, however, he reloaded his gun with another plunger. He once again fired, this time aiming at the face of the cat-man. ... Apparently, despite being a good sniper, he didn't exactly catch on when using a plunger didn't work... [dice=6][rand=78437118457325284528142608047671698026846382549364870898942375832]

[dice=6] The cat man quickly sniffed out the target in time, thus seeing the plunger as it flew at him. Ranulf dodged it swiftly pointing up at the tree. "Ike! There!" With a nod, Ike ran at the tree kicking at it, attempting to shake out the unknown sniper. "Hah!" [dice=6][rand=92080181656725159738574455266715105322735499719917271219256769]

Arthur's response to the attack was, surprisingly, almost as fast as Ranulf's. As Ike charged towards the tree, and kicked it in an attempt to dislodge the sniper, Arther brought back the arm holding the lance... AND THREW IT into the tree like a spear with remarkable ease. Why the men where making it so hard to bring the Rabbid down, she didn't know. Running over to the tree, she concentrated and time froze for her as the world became a page of rice paper in her eyes. Concentrating, a brush appeared upon the page. The brush painted a single stroke, a horizontal line across said tree. As the brush ended it's stroke, it disappeared, and the world returned to normal...expect for an ink stroke now flying through the air, razor sharp, at the tree. [dice=6] [dice=6] [dice=6] Neither shaking the tree nor the thrown lance were enough to dislodge the sniper. He was determined to stay in that tree... ... At least, until the wolf went and chopped it down. "DAAAAAHHH---" *SPLAT* The Rabbid faceplanted into the ground, his plunger gun landing not far from him. After a moment, he pulled himself up and looked around. The man with the blue hair was closest to him. He would go down first. Pulling another plunger out from seemingly nowhere, the Rabbid ran up and proceeded to try and clobber Ike in the face. [dice=6] Unfortunately for this odd creature, he didn't know he was up against Ike. The mercenary quickly blocked the attack with his fist, then looked at the odd creature almost glaring at it. "I have no idea who you are...but your in the way!" Ike quickly unleashed his holy sword, Ragnell, and delivered a wide slash at the Rabbid. Was the rabbit-like creature even worth her time? Not really. Never the less, it threw a sucky-thing on a stick at her face, which she didn't like. Therefore, the goddess felt it only fitting if the creature was punished. With a growl, Ammy lept at the creature, attempting to bite it.
