With the rabbids defeated (for now) and the heroes gone, all was quiet in the forest once more. However, this silence was soon interrupted by the sound of a single set of footsteps as another character entered the scene.
"Dangit, I know I saw a bunch of them head this way..." Rayman grumbled to himself, "I gotta stop them before some unfortunate sap runs into... Huh?"
The limbless one paused and looked around at the clearing he just walked into. Judging by all the broken branches and dug up dirt, it seemed like a battle had happened here not very long ago. It didn't take him very long to come to the conclusion that the rabbids were probably the ones behind it.
"Oh, great... Looks like they found someone. I hope he managed to get away before..."
Again, he found himself interrupted. This time however, it was from a low groan, one that he recognized immediately. Walking over to one of the bushes, he brushed one of the branches aside, revealing, much to his surprise, a dazed and confused rabbid.
"D... Dah?..."
The battered and beaten bunny lifted his head a few inches off the ground to look at Rayman. Upon seeing him, his eye immediately began to twitch... And then his head dropped to the ground as he passed out.
"... Huh. Looks like someone beat me to it."
Rayman took another glance around. Whoever the rabbids had picked a fight with, they must've been able to beat them... But who could that be? Whoever it was, it seemed like he (or she or perhaps even they) was already long gone. It was starting to become clear to Rayman that the people of This World were quite possibly quite a bit stronger than the peaceful inhabitants of the Glade of Dreams or the people in the "Real World". Perhaps he wouldn't have to single-handedly defeat the rabbits once and for all here.
Of course, there was just one question left: Now what?
Unsure of what to do next, Rayman simply picked a direction and began to jog off. Even though he was a bit lost at the moment, he was confident he'd run into something interesting soon enough. He was a trouble magnet like that.
And he was fully prepared for it.
