[dice=6] However, their teeth already had their grip into Falco's ship, so for once, Peppy's wise words failed him. Now with the spinning ride at end, the monsters continued their Thanksgiving dinner. [dice=6] The armor of the fighter held against the creature's teeth this time, as Falco shook the ship, attempting to get the creatures off before performing a second roll. "GET. OFF. MY. FIGHTER!!" [dice=6][rand=848431115804175410171507915876155709841515336029747450494279106226]

[dice=6] Falco has yet to understand that their teeth are as strong as a bear trap. Now if you excuse them, they shall continue their meal. [dice=6] Oh, but don't think they forgot Slippy. Again, the creatures splat around his ship, grinding their teeth like sharpening blades, before digging in on the metal. [dice=6] Unfortunately, Slippy couldn't shake this group off. It was just as well... Any more barrel-rolling and there'd be some interesting stuff on the inside of the cockpit as well. "Hey! Get offa my wing!" Slippy ordered, not that it did much good. Seeing that the creatures weren't exactly listening to him, Slippy veered towards one of the rocky formations, hoping that he could knock a few off by banging against the stone. [dice=6] The Sky Claw's armor barely stood up to the teeth of the creatures, letting out screeches of protest. Falco had the same idea as Slippy, folding the wings of his fighter back as he went through a VERY large hole in one of the formations, intending to SCRAPE the creatures off his fighter. "Sorry about this, girl, but we can fix scrapes." [dice=6][rand=068762421854596023260076241962416312465363243994418904310244542035]

[dice=6][dice=6] Slippy's risky plan worked, for being dragged through the rocky surface were too much for these creatures. Screaming with screeching pitches, the monsters faded to dust. But monkey see monkey do sometimes don't work, for when Falco flew through the hole...half of it...collapsed to dust...as if the rocky pillar was aware what Falco was going to do. Somewhere in the planet, a dark sinister being chuckled. Meanwhile, the creatures tried to eat through the deepest part of Falco's ship. [dice=6] It seemed the Sky Claw's armor was more resilient than the creature's teeth, as it simply protested further, although it obviously couldn't take much more. "You've gotta be KIDDING me!!" Falco frowned deeply as he tried performing a clockwise barrel-roll, followed by a counterclockwise roll, hoping maybe the sudden shift of direction would fling the creatures away. [dice=6][dice=6] Seems substance with style works for the most part. Falco's counter-twirl managed to sweep half the creatures off. But the others were still chewing through the armor of the ship. [dice=6][rand=27426101604110875026118317766924082351995808109438769216737584951368]

[dice=6]
That did it. There was a BANG as a small explosion killed several of the creatures, and Falco's ship started to go into an uncontrolled roll.
"Oh man! They got one of my G-Diffusers!" Falco started quickly trying to direct power to the other three Diffusers, to stop his roll... which could quickly become a crash with this terrain.
[dice=2] (1 succeeds, 2 fails)
With a scream from the fighter's engines, the other three G-Diffusers took up the slack, allowing Falco to straighten out, and NARROWLY avoid slamming into a rock formation, although he did get clipped by a protruding "thorn", which sent his ship off course again, and towards the ground.[rand=03496855866054382584832999594044865829792358965913373573998877065]

"IEE! FALCO!" Slippy screamed, watching his wingmate carening towards the ground, "HOLD ON! I'M COMMING!" The toad, shocked that he was saving someone and not the other way around, veered his ship towards the Sky Claw, positioning the Bullfrog under one of its wings. Hopefully, this would give Falco something to lean on should he need to make an emergancy landing.

Falco didn't even notice his wingmate's actions, as he was busy trying to get his nose up... And mostly succeeded, as the belly of his Arwing scraped one one of the curving surfaces of a large hunk of rock thin enough that its BODY took up the pathway, leaving it balancing (not-so-precariously) on the stone.

Seeing Falco 'land' relatively safely, Slippy let out a huge sigh of relief and swooped around to prepare his own landing. "Phew... You alright, Falco?" Slippy asked as he lowered the landing gear, "How's the damage on the Sky Claw?"

Falco opened the canopy of hte Sky Claw, and stood up in the cockpit, looking around. "Yeah, Slippy, I'm fine. I'm pretty sure I can take off again, but not unless the Great Fox is in orbit. It might not make it much farther than that."

"Well, at least it can still fly. We just need to send a message to the Great Fox to come and pick us up, then!" Landing the Bullfrog, Slippy opened the cockpit and leaped out, blaster already drawn for any more surprise attacks. "Until then, we should stay put and hold off any more things that want to sink their teeth into the arwings!"

Falco just shrugged, perching on the nose of his fighter. "I find it hard to believe those things are the only life on this rock..." Falco looked around, idly twirling his blaster with one hand. "I dunno what it is, but I just have a feeling."
