[dice=6] Well at least Slippy wouldn't feel alone, for the creature saw the blaster and fluttered off before it fired. But three more circled above them like vultures, as if they were waiting for the right moment, when they're invulnerable and off guard. Slippy kept his blaster pointed towards the sky, eyes darting between the three shadow creatures. "You got any ideas, Falco?" he asked, "I don't think these things are gonna stop comming if we just keep shooting them..."

"Just one. Find whoever's controlling 'em, and take THEM out." Falco, taking his eyes off the creatures for a moment, looked around, hoping to see something that would give him a clue what to look for.

Well if he were to look far in the background, right at a very tall and jagged mountain, he would see a figure that looks like he has devil horns on his head. *distant whistle* And they would all hear a whistle...that wasn't like Protoman's. The orbiting shadow monsters that surrounded the Starfox duo scattered away, leaving them to be. The human woman on the ground was groaning. Her business suit was a little tattered, and her long brown hair and suit was in mess; covered in red dirt.

Falco's eyes immediately latched onto the devil-like figure. "That's gotta be him..." His attention then fell to the injured woman. A quick sprint later, and he was kneeling next to her. "Hey, you ok?"

While Falco attented to the wounded woman, Slippy kept his blaster pointed at the distant figure. Technically speaking, his blaster wasn't long-ranged enough to hit the ringleader, but hopefully the person didn't know that. For some reason, however, Slippy couldn't shake the feeling that there was something... strange about the human, and definately not in a good way...

"Yes, I am." the woman said, trying to get up. "And...completely clueless right now." If Slippy watched, he would see those school of shadow monsters swim past the mysterious figure before that demon leaped off behind the mountain, leaving the area.

Falco was getting that bad feeling about this chick, himself, so one hand was resting subtly on his blaster. "How'd you even get here? You have a ship around here?"

"....ship...? I'm on Earth...right...?"

Seeing that their tormenter was gone (for now), Slippy holstered his blaster and made his way back over to Falco and the woman. "Well, whoever it was, he got away..." Slippy explained as he apporached the other two, "Thankfully, he took his little shadow guys with him."

"Yeah, good riddance. And no, lady, you aren't on Earth. Never heard of it, actually."

"Oh okay...then, its offical." Sitting down, the woman massaged her temples. "...I'm dreaming. Yes, unless those are costumes, I'm seeing a talking frog and...blue-jay, or whatever you are."

Falco blinked, then growled his almost offended response. "BLUE-JAY!? I'm a FALCON, ya TWIT!"

Slippy didn't seem all that shocked by Falco's outburst. Instead he simply rolled his eyes and whispered to the woman. "Don't call him a blue-jay. He hates it when people do that."

"....right...sorry, animal species isn't my forte." once again, she massaged her temples, but slowly stood up. "Look, I don't know how to explain being here, other than this is a dream. The last thing I remembered was defending a client of mine in court. Some goofy kid in a scarf and a shirt that says Ryu."
