Space. The final frontier. High in the sky above This World, many cestrial bodies floated in the heavens. Some were tranquil, others were... not. Sector Z, The Fountian of Dreams, Frigate Opheron... There were many places beyond the atmoshpere of This World for the more adventureous Smashers to explore. This was exactly the case as two spaceships flew through the stars: The Bullfrog and the Sky Claw, piloted by none other than Slippy Toad and Falco Lombardi, two members of the elite Star Fox team. Slippy looked through the windshield as he flew through space. If what the radar on the Great Fox said was true, something had just... appeared somewhere around here. Obviously, this had to be investigated, and with Fox and Krystal off somewhere, he and Falco had to take up the task of doing it. "Hey, Falco..." Slippy called over the communicator, "You see anything? The radar said this was the place."

The bird in question frowned slightly as he looked around from his cockpit. "I'm not seeing anything yet, but that doesn't mean anything. We just know this is the general area any-wait a minute... I think I see something." Falco's eyes narrowed slightly as he saw a small, reddish planet. "Slippy? We looking for a planet?"

"A planet? I don't believe a planet could just... What the!?..." Slippy did a double-take as he, too, saw the small planet. How could a planet just show up like that? "Well... Um..." the frog sputtered, "Yeah... I guess that's it..." Still a bit shocked and confused, Slippy steered the Bullfrog towards the planet. "So, Falco, you think we should land on it?"

Falco eyed the mysterious planet warily as he considered Slippy's question. Something seemed... off about that planet, more than the fact it just APPEARED out of nowhere. "We'll do a once-over from the air. If we need more info, then we'll land."

"Okay," Slippy replied, pressing a few buttons on the dashboard of his ship, "preparing for atmoshperic re-entry!" Slippy directed the Bullfrog towards the planet, waiting for Falco to follow.

Falco's fighter turned to follow the Bullfrog, as its pilot shrugged. "Just not seeing what the big deal is. New stuff shows up all the time in This World."

Slippy kept his hands tightly wrapped around the flight stick as his ship shook during the re-entry. True, this happened every time the ship approached a planet due to turbulence, but it seemed oddly... rougher than normal. "I know Falco, but the radar seemed to detect an even higher energy reading than normal," he explained as they passed through the clouds (which were very ominously dark-colored), "It was not unlike the reading we got when those Subspace Bombs were... going... off..." As Slippy paused to look down at the planet's surface below him, he could only sputter one thing. "What the heck?..."

Slippy just answered the question that could be in their minds; what's the name if this planet. Well, after going through the clouds, they can see endless red landscape of death. The red rocky pillars looked like aged swiss cheese, the skies was nothing but the deadly color of fire, and even the rocks stood what appeared to be a sea of fire.
Yes...this is Hell...or the other word for it.

"Slippy? I think you got it right just now..." Falco just stared out his window, then looked up towards the clouds. For some reason, he was getting the overwhelming urge to make a break for it, go into space again, and NEVER come back. ... Not that he'd ever admit that, though.

He should, for at that moment, they will be engulfed by a sea of...black...shadow things. Hundreds of these strange things would shoot past their ships. Some would brush past them, making their ships shake.

"YAAA! GET 'EM OFF!" Slippy, obviously, was a little freaked out by the sudden appearance of the 'shadow things,' and proceeded to DO A BARREL ROLL! do a barrel roll in hopes of shaking the creatures off. [dice=6][rand=97175994751619496719630268255704887329922130164530110574712317595]

Falco was a bit calmer, and just boosted through the cloud of creatures. [dice=6][rand=667783776778886058662068903080016836750236821961370996006356746]

[dice=6][dice=6] The wise words of dear old Peppy Hare did the trick, as Slippy manage to sweep the creatures off his ship. Sadly for Falco, the cloud of monsters was too thick; as a matter of fact, they were in a school of these creatures. Almost like bug on a windshield, the monsters splat right in on theirs. But they weren't dead, no no. For as they wiggled, large, jagged, and grinning teeth appeared in them. It was time to chow down on pieces of metal. [dice=6] Slippy wouldn't have any of that. Not that he was doing anything different, though: He just kept the fight stick jammed to the right, keeping the barrel roll going on for as long as the fuel (and his stomach) held out. This was quite effective in holding off the shadow creatures, however, even if the frog felt like he was going to be revisiting his lunch very soon. "Falco!" Slippy called out over the communicator, his voice wavering as he went though the rolls, "What are these things!?"[rand=48129297341529015518120734283924567840857373065496861737088627087]

[dice=6] Unfortunately for Falco, one of the creatures was able to take a chunk out of his wing. Not enough to drastically affect his flying... But enough to piss him off. "I dunno, Slippy, but they're going DOWN!" And now it was Falco's turn to perform a barrel roll. [dice=6] And somewhere Peppy smiled.[rand=56264861002269832405087008663421383707311677991055851039821486881]
