[dice=6]  Sami just barely dodged Treble's lunge, and slid back on her feet. She looked at her hand as she grunted in pain. "Gah, hope its not broken..." The red head said, but even with a broken hand she can still use her weapons with her other arm. She tested this by shooting her rifle at Treble. [dice=5] [dice=5] [dice=5] ------------------- [dice=6]  Poor Andy never saw it coming. As Bass did a powerful roundhouse kick Chuck Norris style, Andy was hit hard by the impact and sent spiraling and tumbling back into a wall of a building, carrying a lot of dust with him. After some time, blue fire raged through the dust at Bass. Yes, Andy was wielding his Blow Torch and his matching iron protective mask to protect himself. [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6]  The canine simply jumped back from the volley of shots, and ran back towards Bass, growling back at the girl with the gun. [dice=6]  Bass saw the blow torch, and simply hopped back out of range, as Treble trotted up next to him. "Hey, boy, have fun with the redhead? The black android said with a malicious grin. With Treble responded to with a fierce bark. "Atta boy. Whaddya say we both take care of this guy, then take her out?" Another bark, as he turned and growled at Andy. With a grin, he then charged Andy, taking a powerful swing as he reached the human, his dog close behind. [dice=6] "NOW!" The dog then leaped OVER the teen robot, intending to, effectively, land on Andy's head... And maybe try to take a chunk out of it. [dice=6] [dice=6] As underhanded as it was to try to outnumber the mechanic, unfortunately he saw it coming. He took the mask off quickly and used it to defend against Bass's attack, like a shield. Then he rolled out of the way in time before Treble got all over him, the boy quickly put the mask back on and blasted fire at the two. [dice=6] [dice=6] "Andy! You little..." The soldier growled, but decided this would be a good chance to try to cause massive damage. She got her Bazooka out, and loaded a large shell into the back. [dice=6][dice=6] Unfortunately for Andy, a blow torch isn't exactly the fastest weapon on the draw, and both robots circled around him, Bass stopping to level his Buster at the boy's head. While Treble spotted Sami, and barked, alerting his partner. "What?" Looking up, he saw the Bazooka, and swiftly changed targets, firing at the military woman.  When the bird saw the two officers look at her, she stopped in front of them, "Hey, you two!" She squaked (literally), "What's goin' on over here?" Banjo did his best to follow Kazooie, but he stopped when he heard a sound that sounded like a fight. He tried to pick out where the sounds were coming from, but nothing came out of doing so. |

Those two cops paid no heed to the red bird as they hurried over to the battle. A large group of police hid before their vehicles, aiming their weapons at the city's most dangerous threat, Bass.
"But down your weapon, Bass, and step forward, quietly!" an officer warned, through the intercom of one of the cars.
"Sir, that never works, you know,"
"Oh just fire!!!"
A couple of the cops aimed their weapons and did as they were told, staying behind their cars.

Then, next thing Bass knew, he was getting SHOT by a bunch of cops! NOW he was getting pissed off! Which he showed by, with a roar, shooting at EVERYONE. "Ngh..." The red head opened her eyes, and looked up at Andy. "Thanks..." She hid her face blushing. With a smile, he nodded at Sami. "Of course...why are you looking away?" The clueless boy asked his friend. Sami ended up pushing herself off of Andy sighing. "Never mind..." [dice=6][dice=6][dice=6][dice=6] "AAAGGGH!!!!" Bass' shot easily pierced through their car, hitting the gas tanks, and igniting them in great explosions that made the cops fly. The surviving cops, after getting up from the ground then gawked at what was left of their comrades... ...they lied in the fire as trophies. Apparently, Bass has some weapon that turns people into trophies...or in their perspective, he does. About a few blocks away, Roll and Marina hid in an alley.  Roll wanted to get aid from Dr. Light, but she can't remember how to get there, but she knew his house was too far. Right now, she hoped to get some report from Marina's status. "Marina, are you ready?"  The young girl felt her chest. "I...I should've been. My, that Bass must had damaged me worse than I thought." This was not what she wanted to hear. The only person who may can defeat Bass still is repair hiatus. She needs to figure out how to... Out of the alley, standing at the edge of the sidewalk looked like an advanced pay-phone, complete with some kind of monitor. "I hope that thing has excess to a phone-number listings." Unfortunately, there was a surprising number of Lights in the phone directory, and three of them were named Thomas. Meanwhile, Bass hasn't noticed the fate of the cops he'd just blown up, he was just laughing, enjoying the thrill. After a moment, though, he turned his attention to Sami and Andy. "Oh, how cute." Then, in a swift motion, his Buster was leveled at Andy. "Sit tight, hero, I've got a question for your girlfriend." He then directed a glare at Sami, his eyes narrowed fiercely. "Where's that Marina chick? I know she was teamed up with you, and I've got a score to settle." |

When Bass called Sami his girlfriend, he just blinked for a second taking his guard down. "Girlfriend, shes my...!" He stopped once Bass's buster was aimed at him. "..." And simply froze after that. The soldier pointed her rifle at Bass growling. "Let him go! And I have no idea where Marina is, I swear!" Sami of course was lying. But in Marina's condition she can't even help the two fight him, let alone facing him by herself. |

"Okay uh..." Roll's finger followed down the list of number on the monitor. "Oh here! Thomas Light! That has to be him... Since he seems to be the only Light... hope he doesn't mind a collect call." Roll dialed away, holding the phone with a shaky hand. "Come on..." Roll whispered, nervously, waiting for an answer. As she waited for Roll to call, Marina's attention was on a TV behind a display window of a store. A TV news was overhead the battle, where Bass obviously was triumphing those army guys. There are times right now that Marina just wants to get over there, robot-form or not. She can't leave those two behind. |

What Roll got... Was an answering machine. "'Ey, it's Tommy. You got a message, leave it after the beep. You don't, SHADDAP." ... Nope, that definitely wasn't the Doctor's number. With a slight frown, Bass fired, hitting Andy in the right leg (specifically, his shin). "You're lying. But I'll be generous, and give you another shot. Where. Is. Marina?" |

With the sudden blast at his shin, Andy knelled down holding his right leg. "GAH!" He grunted under his teeth, his shin burned quite a bit from the attack. Surprised at the attack, Sami gasped at the fallen mechanic. "ANDY!" She looked at Bass. "Stop, please!" But the mechanic just looked up at Sami. "N.no Sami, don't tell him...whatever you know..." The red haired soldier looked down at her friend. "Andy?" "It may not look like it...but im a soldier too ya know." Then he gave a strong smirk at Bass. "And a soldier never gives into torture, do you get me?" With a sigh, Sami's hands shook as she kept her rifle pointed at Bass. It would have been so much easier if Andy begged for her to save him.
