Monsteropolis: Gear Shift

[Mage]

Monsteropolis has only been here for a limited time, and its already attracted the attention of many people. With his giant cities and flying cars, its possibly considered to be a rival to Smash City.

Riding in the city in a Recon car was none other then Andy, an Orange Star commander and ace mechanic. Although readers at this point don't need his introduction again ^^;.The boy was sleeping deeply in the back of the car bored like.

The soldier in red driving the car looked back. "Commander Andy, we're here."

But the boy just rolled on his side ignoring the soldier. "Ngh..."

The soldier sighed. "Commander?!"

"I'm bored...wake me up when something interesting happens.

Andy has been sent by Nell to find Sami, who had gotten lost in this city looking for Andy when he disappeared. After his small adventure though hes been incredibly bored.

With a frown, he lay-ed on his back with his eyes still closed. "Man, I wish I was still hanging out with Tron. That was a lot of fun..."

The soldier sighed in grief. "Sir..."

Though Monsteropolis does have many flying vehicles and what not, there are many people who would rather walk and get the exercise than fly around and pollute the atmosphere. Though the streets were full of people, walking up and down, there were two who stuck out like sore thumbs.

...Or like a bear walking on two legs with a bird's head sticking out of a backpack.

"Oi, Banjo. Are we there yet?" The bird in the backpack asked.

"I'm not really sure..." Banjo said, a little annoyed. In his hands was a map of This World, though it wasn't really detailed. All that was on it was just different colors, representing different terrain. Words were on it as well, which showed where the numerous towns and cities were. Banjo pointed to one, 'Smash City', then traced his finger some ways down.

"Looks like we're farther down south than we thought." Banjo said to his feathered friend.

Kazooie started to fan herself with her wing, "Yep... It's definately down south here."

[Mage]

The soldier kept driving, until he saw a bear and a bird talking. Surprised, he stopped the car. "Hey those two look suspicious sir..."

"Huh?" The mechanic rose from his sleep, and found himself in the middle of a futuristic city. Needless to say, he was speechless. ",,,,,,,,,,,," He sat there with his eyes white and his mouth wide open.

The soldier looked at his commander. "Sir...oh no, your..."

Before the soldier knew it, Andy jumped out of the car and ran off looking around. "SO SO....HI-TECHNICAL AMAZING!!!" Said the over ecstatic boy.

The poor soldier only watched as his dim witted commander rushed off. "WAIT?!" He sighed. "Sir...you really have a medical problem."

Andy and his commando crew would approach a huge road block; a police road block. Those yellow holograms of police warning surrounded two strange ships that, in a way, 'kissed' HARD. One yellow ship looked a bit like a fish while another looked like a house with some kind of 'bunny-ears', which were the white 'tails' of Marina Liteyears' hat. The faces of the ships were crushed together, and the road they laid on was split by their fall. Fire-fighters were there, checking to make sure the ships didn't contain any signs of explosions, and the police were directing the traffic to another road nearby.

[Mage]

When Andy came across those ships, he had a surprised look on his face. "Whoa, those ships look pretty different from the rest around here..." They didn't seem to be like the flying cars around here, yet they don't look like battle crafts like the Stealth ships. Andy ignored the police and fire fighter's, and ran to the Flutter. "Ive gotta check it out!"

"Sir! SIR!!" a couple of police officers stepped in his way, holding him back. "This is a restricted area! Please step outside the barrier."

[Mage]

The mechanic frowned at the man of the law. "Aw, but I'm a mechanic. Its in my job description to investigate stuff like this..." He would also mention hes a military commander, but not too many people believe that at first glance.

[AnT]

"Not without an authorized ID, you're not. Now please step out of the area." the officer pointed his arm over the boy.

[Mage]

The boy in red frowned at the officer, and ended up walking off. "Aww..." He mumbled like a boy being grounded to his room. "Ive seriously gotta take a look at that ship, its so unreal!" He said, with vigor.

[Native One]

Even though the duo were walking in the opposite direction, Kazooie was still able to see what was going on.

"Hey, Banjo, look at that. There seems to be something goin' on over there."

The bear turned his head to where Kazooie was pointing at, "Hmm... I wonder what's going on there..."

"Well, if you're curious, let's go check it out!"

"Kazooie, we're probably not allowed. See, that boy over there can't get in." Banjo pointed at Andy.

"Oh well... I'll go check it out myself if you don't wanna go!"

And with that, the bird jumped out of the backpack and ran over to the police road block.

"Kazooie!" Banjo called out to his partner, but she kept on going. "D'oh!" Banjo smacked his head and followed her.

"Hey Ced!" an officer nudged another cop. He then pointed at the incoming bird. "What the heck did that came from?"

Popping his lips a little, the officer shrugged, "Eh it must be one of those robotic zoo animals. Guess this one escaped."

"Uh...shouldn't we...do something about it?"

The officer glanced behind him at the ships. All their jobs are at the moment is to prevent anything or anyone aboard the police barrier. Might as well include animal robots. "Alright, call the zoo and see if they're missing any robo-animals."

The cop sneaked out a taser out of his pockets, hiding it from the bird's sight. "Daddy's gonna be catching their chicken."

[Mage]

The mechanic walked on the side walk, disappointed. "Ah, id better think of how to get in.

Close to the ships and the law enforcers was a military recon car, approaching the scene fast. "Gah, Andy's nowhere to be found..." But Sami stopped the car once she saw the ships. "Roll, there they are...oh no." The soldier sighed out, when she saw the police on the scene.

Over the door of the car, Marina studied the area. Pulsing energy fields surrounding the ships in a 'poka-dotted' form, and law authorities seemed to be quite an obstacle for her to get to her ship. "Oh dear, that's gonna be trouble."

This concerned her, deeply. As if this dimensional trip was a headache enough, now the police are blocking her chance to get her ship. But, if these police are like the ones in her world... "Wait! I have registration for my ship! Maybe they'll let us pass!"

[Vize Viper]

And then... there was an explosion down the street, along with screaming bystanders...

More than one of them audible as "BASS! IT'S BASS!"

[Mage]

"Registration? Well I suppose its worth a..." Before Sami could finish, the explosion was set off. With a gasp, she heard the name. "Damn, more trouble?!"

Andy heard the same explosion with a melodious screaming to match up with the mayhem quite nicely. "What the..." The mechanic said looking around. "Bass?"
