Monsteropolis: Gear Shift

Roll slammed her head on the pay phone. "It's never easy in any world, huh Marina?"

But Roll found Marina...not there.


"Hi!" And here she was, standing in the before the battlefield in plain sight...with a smile.


Seeing that on TV, and skipping a few breaths, Roll teared through the streets, heading back to the battle. "MARINA!!!!"

Freezing at the voice, Bass slowly turned, looking at Marina... at least, he thought it was her. The voice was right, but where was her armor?

Of course, she was prolly like the Blueberry. Could make it dissappear when she wanted to.

"Looks like you got lucky, human." The android lowered his Buster, and slowly started walking towards Marina.

[Mage]

When Marina showed up, Sami turned to the young girl surprised. "M.Marina?!" But she then went to Andy helping him up. "Marina, run!" She propped Andy up with one arm and pointed her rifle with the other.

The boy simply looked at Bass walked away to a little girl. Thats who he was looking for, a kid? Andy blinked at the situation confused. "Um...who is that, Sami?"

She would tell Andy, but she'd rather not force him to chase Marina on his bad knee. "...Ill tell you later."

Pretty much a kid. If Bass were to get a closer look, Marina looked a lot younger than her robotic form. Also, she had regular legs instead of peg-legs. But no, Marina wouldn't run. It was as if she was like a deer looking at incoming headlights.

But her fists, down to her legs, clenched hard, as she tried to summon her robot form.

Without a word, just a single, CHILLING smile, Bass grabbed the front of Marina's shirt, hoisting her into the air.

"What's the matter, girl? Not so tough without your armor, are you?"

He then brought the girl down, till she was RIGHT in front of his face.

"I wonder how you'd like a taste of your own medicine."

[Mage]

This isn't going well. "Sami, fire at him!"

Unfortunately she couldn't, Marina was too close to him. "I can't, I might hit her too!"

"Man..." But the mechanic had an idea, he took out an ice grenade, ready to roll it at Bass's legs.

The next thing Bass said... seems rather chilling, as he turned.

"Pull." And then, Marina was FLUNG skyward, the hand Bass had used to toss her changing into his Buster, before he fired a single shot at the airborne human.

Her armor still won't activate. This was really going to hurt.

"YOINK!!!!" out of nowhere, a thundering blue blur wisked Marina away before the shot sailed. It was like she disappeared. [rand=886918587667498495864902287376778812121327090293053764208644453526]

Sami looked speechless when Marina was about to get blasted...but in a flash she disappered from her vision range. "Wha?" For a split second, she thought she saw a blue figure. "Where did she..."

"Sami, nows our chance, lets Duel Strike this chump. Orange Star style!" The mechanic smirked.

She knew this was the perfect chance. "Right!"



Andy broke away from Sami rolling 3 Ice Grenades at Bass's legs, while Sami jumped up in the air with the help of her jet boots firing down at Bass with her rifle. "This is for Roll and Marina!"

So startled was Bass by the girl's sudden disappearance, that he got pegged by one of the grenades, which help in place long enough for Sami to tag him with a few shots.

"Nngh! WHO WAS THAT!?" He'd seen blue, but it COULDN'T be Mega Man, the little Blue Bomber isn't that FAST![rand=3885676354725919872561047089140491919997066243722800799947945869]

[Mage]

When the soldier landed on her feet, she started to prepare her bazooka with another shell. "Andy, distract Bass while I reload!"

Agreeing with Sami, Andy ran at Bass with his wrench swinging wildly. "Gotcha!"

The black android was struck by the first swing, but blocked the second, before he leveled his Buster at Andy's head.

"Get out of my face, meatbag."

And then he fired.

Far away, down the road, Roll ran, ignoring the fatigue she felt in her lungs, while her robot monkey trailed behind her. Seriously, she wondered how that Marina girl got there so fast through this distance. "Marina! Marina, I'm coming, ple-!!"

Suddenly, a blue blue crossed her path in a flash; the thunder force of the wind knocked her on her rear.


And right before her sat the young green-haired girl. Marina...was just puzzled. "W-wha...?"

The feeling was mutual, for Roll was too baffled to get up. "Where did that...?"

The boy bent back from the attack, and back flipped away from Bass. When he landed on his legs, he felt his knee. "Doh...ok, moving around too much is not smart..."

"Don't worry, I got it!" She pointed her readied bazooka at the robot master. "Say your prayers!" The fired the bomb shell at Bass, hoping this would end the battle.

Bass narrowly avoided the bomb, and GLARED at Sami.

"Treble."

The canine looked up at Bass from growling at the two humans.

His expression turned... unreadable, except for an almost disturbing smile.

"KILL."

Instantly, Treble was rushing along the street towards Sami, and leaping at her, aiming to catch her by the throat.
