Monsteropolis: Gear Shift

Barely, Sonic flipped away in mid-air. But once he was close by, the hedgehog orbited around Bass, trying to trap him in a blue tornado.

And while that keeps him busy, Sonic charged up for a Homing Attack and fired.

She made a mental note not to test Sami's patience like that.

"If you were looking for him, the important thing is that he's alright..." Roll glanced at him, remembering how he was limping. "...Sort of. We better get out of here and get him to a hospital or something. We can come for the ships later."

While the young girl was at awe on the fight, her eyes glowed, something the others won't see. [rand=51656098390197754202514307387449448058144745005951506153005154519]

[Mage]

But the mechanic got up, he still limped but didn't seem to mind. "N.no, its ok. Im sure it'll heal on its own." He smiled at Roll, then to Sami. "But Sami, you won't believe the adventure I had!" The boy went on. "First I went to this ruin with a giant crystal inside, but it got stolen by a Lego man! Then I ended up captured in this giant whale of a ship with even more Lego men! I met the captain who was surprisingly our age, she was a bit cute too. Then we...."

Apparently, Andy wanted to talk about his day...every single minute of it. Sami just sighed. "Captured? You certainly still have a lot to learn, Andy..."

Bass watched the hedgehog orbit him, then, as the homing attack closed in on him, he simply backhanded him away. (no damage)

Then, while Sonic was (most likely) still airborne, he again attempted his rising kick attack... into Sonic's stomach.

Barely, Sonic could flip away from that kick after he was done with his Homing Attack. While still airborne...over the smaller buildings, he quickly caught that leg and let it launch him onto one of those small buildings. He rolled on those rooftops, in a rough landing, but any landing you can walk away from...

Sonic took a moment to get a brief glance of himself. Small charred marks here and there from Bass' blasts, but nothing he could endure. In that usual cool fashion, Sonic crossed his arms.

"Heh! You sure get uptight easily. By the way, Rockfish ... Mind if I call you that?...what other uses those fins are for?...Besides attracting the fishies in the sea...and I do mean fishies in the sea."



"Um...what're Lego-men?" [rand=9878134064564544077528472491312994122201676731288041545332778397]

[Mage]

Sami looked at Roll. "Oh, well they're..." She looked around, and found a toy store near by with a poster of Legos outside. She pointed at the Lego people in the poster and said. "Pretty much those."

"Yep, just like that. But she called them something else...Slavebots or something..." He tried to remember the name.

With what looked like a practiced set of moves, Bass landed on a nearby car, and leapt off of it, into the side of another, then flipping off of it to land on the roof across from Sonic.

"Frankly, I've got NO clue. You'd hafta ask the doc about that." The android glowered at his opponent, as he aimed his Buster again.

"That is, assuming you ever get the chance." Suddenly, his aim shifted down, and he fired at the roof under Sonic, the material quickly crumbling under the hail of fire, combined with the hedgehog's weight.

But from the second those blasts hit the edge, a star-spring magically blasted Sonic into the air with a 'BA-LING'.

"Yeah, I'll have to ask about his lousy taste in fashion." Spinning into a ball in the air, Sonic then shot down at Bass with a flying kick.

Roll took a careful look at the poster ahead. The shape of the head...and those hands...painfully reminded Roll of...

...

Like a badly edited video, a happy looking robot flashed before her eyes.

Frowning, Roll glared at Andy. "Was her name...Tron???" [rand=3388222725962408717904926119939894722253940417897617749307589911267]

[Mage]

Andy looked at Roll, surprised and sweatdropping. "...uh, oh yeah. Her name is Tron. Why?"

Barely sidestepping the kick, Bass aimed at point blank, that feral grin crossing his face again.

"Goodbye, hedgehog." Then, he fired.

Meanwhile, Treble was on the street, looking up at the rooftop Bass was fighting that Sonic person on.

"Rrrrrrr..."

Bass didn't give him enough time Sonic enough time to gather himself from that diving kick. Three exploding shots blew Sonic away, tumbling across the roof.

Sonic lifted and swung his legs around, like a break dance, twirling up to his feet. Staring at the black armored robot, Sonic smirked, wiping the bottom of his nose. "Aw, and we were starting to get to know each other...And Jumpman say I'M impatient. Sheesh..."

Spreading his legs in a supporting stance, Sonic clenched his fists together. "Okay! You wanna end this fast? You got your hedgehog for the job!"

And with that, Sonic vanished.



If Bass wasn't quick enough, he would feel a hard chop to his neck. [dice=6]


A swift kick to the torso like being hit by a baseball. [dice=6]


A hammering kick to the face. [dice=6]


And finally, Sonic would reappear where he last stood, rocketing at Bass with a Spin Dash. [dice=6]




While there was hardly any aggressiveness on her face, except for her teeth clenched tight, Roll looked...annoyed. "Argh! She's here!??!"

But then again, Tron was also in that blast of light caused by that trans-dimensional generator that pirate stubbornly fooled with. But Roll read that the machine could probably send anything it touches to random dimensions. But alas, that was not the case, and the idiot that caused this mess was here as well.

Her angry expression faded, and Roll massaged her temples from the stress of her temper. "Great...."

The boy just looked at Roll confused. "Whats wrong?"

Sami walked up to, Roll crossing her arms. "I guess you and this "Tron" don't seem to mesh well, right?" She knew what it was like, being harassed by a certain bratty tech no girl.

Unfortunately for Sonic, Bass hadn't been kidding when he said he could handle quick.

The chop to his neck was blocked with one arm.

Before he sidestepped the kick,-

-And tilted his head just enough to avoid the second kick.

And finally, he dodged to the side of the Spin Dash, and aimed a harsh roundhouse kick at the rolling hedgehog's side, one of the few locations still vulnerable when Sonic was curled into a ball.

Vulnerable, yes, if you were quick enough to take advantage of that; Otherwise it's hard to hit that weakness. Sonic quickly leaped of his kick and countered with another air-sending Axel-kick.

An irritable sigh Roll made before she calmed herself. "That's putting it mildly. Look, let's leave incase that blue guy doesn't beat Bass." [rand=933743854117509652728574019014930880827675633235606305625092187539]

[Mage]

"Your right, we can't mount a decent defense like this..." She started to walk off, but winced when she remembered her car. "Blast! That fool of a robot destroyed the recon car!"

"You got a radio, Sami? We could probably call for help." The mechanic suggested.

But the soldier just sighed. "No, I left it on the car...which is destroyed. What about you?"

This caused Andy to frown back. "Well...when I left the soldier, I kinda left my radio with him...heh."

AGAIN, the black android narrowly avoid the hedgehog's attack... but this time, instead of using a buster, he made a grab at the hedgehog.

And if he succeeded, he would hold Sonic over his head, then change his arm into Buster mode, and fire several shots into his victim.
