Monsteropolis: Gear Shift

Alas, Sonic isn't the fastest hedgehog in the world, or the fastest thing alive, or the...you get the idea. The blue one zipped from sight before Bass reached him.

"Okay, enough of this!" From out of nowhere, Sonic appeared, speeding around Bass in his Blue Tornado.

And while Sonic kept Bass busy with that, he dashed around him, giving the robot punch and kicks in every direction, under few seconds.

"And the radio in my ship is probably destroyed, and we can't risk digging through it while that robot is still out there." Removing her large hat, Roll scratched her messy blonde hair. "We can probably try to find a phone. It is a city, you know." [rand=881247554011377498014018779504862227307451645633739239435742173834]

[Mage]

"Good point, if this is like any other city then maybe it has a Smash Inn." She went to the phone and looked through the system. "Oh, so there is a Smash Inn." She called the building.

The boy sat down holding his leg. "...Ok, I guess the pain is starting to set in." He layed back against the ship. "I wish I saw that coming..."

The red head came up. "I called Nurse Joy, an ambulance should come in a few minutes and take us to the Inn."

"Really? Thats great!" He smiled jumping up, but then feel over cringing in pain. "Gah..."

While the tornado did little to slow Bass down, he still wasn't able to avoid one of Sonic's attacks, taking a hit to the head.

With a smirk, as he wiped away a small trickle of what was most likely some kind of coolant liquid from the edge of his mouth, Bass brought his fist up...

Then slammed it into the roof, shaking the building to its foundations.

And thanks to the stress caused by Sonic and the Wily-bot's fighting, the side of the building both of them stood on began to collapse!

Soon, both of them would have to fight in the middle of a falling pile of rubble.

Unfortunately, Bass was struck by some of the falling debris.

"Wha??" Such a tactic seemed something of Knuckles' style...a really stupid idea. "You're as clever as Knuckle-HEEEAAAA...!!!"

Not even the fastest hedgehog alive could react to the roof beneath him caving in. Course, this was reminding Sonic of some places where it would collapse, like some of Eggman's ships. But memory lane caused Sonic to be a sitting target for some debris.

Sonic also saw falling trophies of the citizens inside. Thank Chaos (He's not fond of the Hands.) that people in This World turns into trophies instead of dying. Too bad they'll still feel the pain when they wake up. So much pain, they'll wish they died.

This guy crossed the line now.

"Not a bright move against a living pinball!" Proving what he meant, Sonic bounced on the falling building pieces, like it was a giant pinball machine, striking Bass in almost every pass.

Ignoring the need to ask what this Smash Inn was, Roll let the robo monkey, Data, climb onto her shoulder. "Well lets hope they get here...." Roll cringed in fear when she notice someone gone.

[Mage]

Sami ended up looking around for Marina, and let out a sigh. "Great, where the heck did she go?!"

"Shes just a little girl right? How far can she get?" Andy obviously didn't know about Marina's true identity.

The soldier helped Andy up. "We'll explain later, right now Marina is in danger!"

Amazingly, only one of the attacks actually HIT, the falling rocks allowing Bass a measure of protection from the "living pinball".

(Bass: 1/10) But now, sparks were coming from his body, as he was now in critical condition.

Ignoring the alerts his systems wre giving him, the teen robot began KICKING CHUNKS OF ROCK at Sonic.

"RAAAAGH!"

"Oh boy..." one rock smacked him right across the face...

But he smirked, a little weary from the beating as he watched the other rocks come at him. "Servs up!!"

With a Sonic Spin, the hedgehog rammed against the rocks, sending them right back at the robot.

"Oh my..." when Roll ran out from the safety behind her ship, she saw a tall building collapsing. "OH MY GOD!!! All those people..." [rand=804326185813566165526557264169662865479181251587577095684718382]

The two of them looked up at the falling building in shock. "Uh oh..." Said Andy. Sami said. "This is just getting worse..."

The first rock was simply blasted to dust, but the second, while it struck, was stopped cold...

And stopped even colder when it, and Bass, finally hit the ground with a deafening BOOM.

"FUNCTION CEASED!!!" stated the ref who rode on a falling rock. "The winner is SONIIIIIII-IIIEEEEE..." Falling along with the rest of the building.

Now that was over with, Sonic had to concentrate on getting out of the raining building chunks, as he bounced on the debris. But the battle with Bass took some toll on him, falling under a large group of rocks.


BOOM!!!! The building finally collapsed completely, with the roars of its fall echoing across the city, and the smoke racing across the streets.

A good distance from the wreckage, Roll shielded from the dust with her arms. She could barely see through all this dust.

The couple covered their own eyes, once most of the dust cleared, Andy looked at the wreckage. "...no, the people..." Sami sighed at this sight. "Again, I still can't protect anyone..."

Within in the large bank of smoke, a shaded figure appeared to be walking out of the smoke. The silhouette grew more sharper in shape, with more shapes over its shoulders.

Finally finding her way out of the smoke, was a girl who had green hair like Marina, only she looked a little older, around the age of the Orange Star kids, and donned maid-like armor. She also had robotic peg-legs under LARGE upper legs.

Marina Liteyears carried the trophy form of Sonic and Mr. Referee. "That's gonna be some cleaning up."

With a smile, she looked over at Marina. "She recovered in time, this is great Andy...Andy?" She looked over at her shoulder where an injured mechanic was supposed to be, but wasn't.

Where was he? Why inspecting around Marina gleeing at her strength. "Whoa! Are you a robot? Ive never seen anything like you!" He was ignoring the pain again, for his mechanical spirit had over come it.

Nobody told any of them that Marina gets easily jumpy when someone sneaks up on her from nowhere. And when she's spokeed, her arms will reach out to the person and THROW them high to orbit...without her permission.

"GRCK!!!" like so, as she tries to grab and throw Andy HIGH.

Andy soon became the first mechanic to go into space...well at least high up in the clouds, before he came crashing down to the ground hard. "....ugh..." The boy suddenly blacked out from the impact.

The soldier came up to Andy, just looking down at him. "I can't say he didn't have it coming to him." She turned to Marina. "Reflex, right?" Sami could understand, like the fact a certain old lecher latched onto her earlier.[rand=55328648963476724056821517501825060122359637189486699394380740282]
