Monsteropolis: Gear Shift

[AnT]

"OHMYGOD!!!" running up to the two, Marina nervously bowed multiple times. Any lower, she'd hit the floor. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! It was a reflex!"

Walking closer to them, Roll and Data took a look at Andy. "I'm sure he's okay, Marina; it was an accident."

She then saw the two trophies of the hedgehog and referee. "Where did you get those...?" Such a coincidence Marina found trophies of that hedgehog that saved them, and that weird referee guy in the blimp. Why would she save some mere statues when the lives of the people in the building was far more...

.... "Are they...?" she asked, starting to remember what Sami said, earlier.

[Mage]

With a laugh, she looked over at Marina. "Its ok, at the very least he won't get his rages around you!" Then she looked at Roll. "Its ok, Sonic and that weird man will be alright. No one actually dies in this world, death is incredibly rare. We simply turn into trophies after we lose a fight, lose all energy, and other means." She picked up the unconscious Andy. "A little more wounds, but he'll be just fine. Andy's tough."

[AnT]

"No....deaths...?" Okay...now she KNOWS she's in the wrong planet. Roll wondered what keeps people in check if death doesn't scare them. But at least it means those people in that building are okay. It's just a matter of digging them out they need to worry about. But first...

"So...how do you get them out of it?" she asked, looking at the large trophies.

[Mage]

The soldier came up to Sonic and touched his trophy base. "If you touch the base of the trophy, the person will reawaken. Watch."

[AnT]

The blast of light emitted from the Sonic trophy.

"Argh..." Sitting up, Sonic rubbed his shoulders. He felt stiffening pain as it was hard to move them. "That smarts."

Roll's giant eyes blinked in shock. She now wondered if these people were like...living toys. Come to think of it...could she turn into a trophy too? Shaking away the anxiousness, Roll bent down to Sonic. "Uh...are you okay?"

While busy trying to loosen the stinging tweaks out of his muscles, Sonic gave a thumbs-up to Roll. "Eh, just as soon as I can adjust the bone on my shoulder. Heh! That building did more of a number than Robo-Doof could."

The hedgehog took a look around, finding more pain on his non-existent neck. "Ouch! Uh...any of you guys called the ambulances?"

[Mage]

And just as Sonic asked if they called the hospital, before they knew it an ambulance came. Straight from the Smash Inn.

Nurse Joy came out, and looked around at the destruction. Putting her hand over her mouth in shock. "Oh my, it seems we need more then one ambulance..."

"Just in time, it looks like." The soldier said aloud.

[AnT]

Well, once again he meets Nurse Joy...or at least another one of her. From what Sonic learned, there are...well, clones of these ladies in each Smash Inn. Kind of creepy in his opinion. But it looks like the 'Palms' didn't waste time to establish a Smash Inn in Mega-Kid's turf.

Sonic grabbed his sprained shoulder, trying to help it move. "Yeah, no kidding! Uh, hope you got some portable healing gizmos in there, cuz I like to dig the people out of that rubble."


Well if touching the base wakes these...trophies up, then someone has to help the weird ref. Hesitantly, Roll reached for Mr. Referee's base, afraid it could backfire on her. Taking a deep breath, she quickly tapped the base.

And the trophy exploded with heavenly light.

Mr. Referee's eyes rolled around like inside a ball as he stood up. Keeping his balance was a chore, for he was still feeling woozy. "Uuuuh...I defiantly feel an ultra bruise! Uh...ma'am, how long was I out?"

Roll still can't get over this world's physics. It was amazing, yet horribly frightening at the same time. "Uh...five minutes...I think."

"GUH!!! FIVE MINUTES!?! Over six Smash Battles can happen in five minutes!!!" Lifting his leg, the ref prepared to dash off. "Mr. Referee..."

And with his first step, he dropped on his face.

"...is down!"

"Uh....yeah..." he muttered, wondering if the man is sane.

[Mage]

Before Sonic and the others knew it, some Chansey ran out of the car. One came to Sonic with the said healing device, and put it over his upper body healing the pain away. "Chansey!"

Another one went to the ref, and did the same.

Then two more took Andy from Sami, and put him in the ambulance. He was far too hurt for a weak device like that alone.

Joy ended up calling for more ambulances to come, and in less then a minute they were swarming in.

With a sweatdrop, Sami looked around her. "My my, Joy and her Chansey sure work fast..."

[AnT]

Sonic still feels edgy over any medical equipment as the strange floating devices surrounded him with a green energy ring. But he relaxed as he felt the device eat away the pain.

The young Spotter...spotted flying police cars and firetrucks coming in from the streets in the horizon. "I just hope we won't get blamed for this."

"Eh, something tells me Rockfish does this junk often. Don't worry about it." Finally, his upper body was free from the pain that 'prisoned' him. He stood up, removing the floating circular-shaped devices. He then turned his shoulders left and right to loosen them. "Sides, I'm sure the boys-n-blue will like a helping hand digging the people out of there."

"Oh yes! We can't leave them buried. I'll help!" the robot-maid hurried over to the rubble.

[Mage]

"I will too." She went over, and helped dig. She seemed a lot more relaxed now that Andy was on his way to the Inn, she just hoped he would turn out ok.

[AnT]

The robot girl slid down the rubble, carrying a chunk that was three-stories tall.

Sonic raced across the rubble, twirling around to create a Blue Tornado. The tornado carried a bunch of smaller rocks before traveling out of the rubble.


And Roll....just stood there, at awe at the hedgehog's ability to use the wind, and Marina's amazing strength.



While the two heroes away swept the rubble, the firemen (After gawking at their incredible powers in awe or fear.) hurried to the area to start looking for buried people.

[Mage]

Eventually, Sami just looked at Marina and Sonic go. Impressed at they're super human abilities. She walked back to Roll. "Boy, compared to them, Im pretty fragile."

[AnT]

"Tell me about it." The girl with the big hat took a glance at her crashed ship down the street. "Sami, you wanna try to get in contact with your division? I have radio equipment in the Flutter. Hopefully it's repairable."

[Mage]

"Right, good idea." The soldier went to the ship. "With my men we can help more people to the inn, then try to get this ship up and running once Andy's out of the bed."

[AnT]

Meanwhile, the fire department OF THE FUTURE!!! stood baffled at what they found under the rubble. They expected a bloody sight...but all they found were 'statues' of people. One of the fire-men took out a communicator. "Sir? There's no sight of any injured bodies. There's nothing but statues of...people."

A booming blur zipped by the officers. Sonic 'exited' out of the blur. "Those ARE the people!"

And he took off.



Leaving the firemen even MORE confused.



Inside the Flutter, Roll found that fixing the ship will be quite a chore. Walls were burned and filled with holes. The ceilings, even in the living room, already were caved on the floors. Chances of her radio equipment being in good condition...was not looking true.
