Monsteropolis: Gear Shift

[Mage]

Sami helped Roll look around. "Maybe Dr Light could help us with this."

[AnT]

"I guess..."

Just then, the robot monkey, Data, ran out from under the rubble of the ship, climbing up to Roll's shoulders.

"Data? Is the equipment...?"

The monkey shook his head. "Kee..."

"Oh..." Today was full of disappointments.

[Vize Viper]

Treble, meanwhile, had more or less burrowed his way under the rubble, looking for the large chunk of masonry that had landed on his master. He KNEW he was alive, his system link to the black android told him so...

BUT WHERE WAS HE?

The dog/wolf sniffed around a pocket formed by the shifted debris, and caught his master's scent. With a bark, he tracked it to the stone in question, and started digging under one edge. And after a few minutes of such digging, his efforts bore fruit. A white, gloved hand, attached to a black and gold forearm.

His bark now taking on a worried, but happy tone, he began licking his partner's hand.

Soon, the hand clenched sharply, nearly catching Treble's tongue, before the rubble shifted...

Then was blown to dust, clearing MOST of the rubble, in fact, and leaving the black Wily-bot at the bottom of a sudden crater. His armor was dented, dirty, and his body was sparking all over, while he himself seemed unable to rise up higher than one knee.

In a strange action (to those that only knew Bass from his attacks on the city), he smiled at his canine companion, the expression only holding a faint trace of it's normally feral appearance.

"Good boy, Treble. That's... a good boy." He then tried to stand, and collapsed back to one knee with a cry. Apparently his knee had been crushed b the rubble, while his body itself had escaped what would have been lethal damage.

With a whimper, the purple wolf dog moved closer to his master, as if trying to offer assistance... but what could he do?

[Mage]

The soldier put her hand on her friend's shoulder, to help comfort her. "Don't worry, Im sure it can't be difficult to rebuild." This city was high tech, she was sure its easy to replace the parts.

Nurse Joy saw Bass and Treble, then gave them a frown. "Are you two alright?" The nurse asked, not knowing this sinister figure.

[AnT]

"Yeah, Dr. Light's assistance is needed, defiantly." But how to get the ship to the lab when they can't call for any...

Suddenly, Roll snapped her fingers. "I wonder if Marina is strong enough to carry this thing!"

[Vize Viper]

Almost AS Joy appeared, Treble leaped between her and his master, growling at the woman. Another person come to finish Bass off? Not on his watch!

The Wily bot simply glared up from his (unintentionally) submissive position.

"Who the heck're you?"

[Mage]

"Marina? Good idea. Shes strong alright, a ship would be cake walk for her." By this time, the area should be cleared out.

The nurse simply stood there, not flinching from Treble's growling. "I am Nurse Joy, of the Smash Inn. I came to help anyone who is injured here." She started to come up to the two. "Sir, I can help you."

[Vize Viper]

Treble's growling didn't let up, although the world "help" registered, causing him to glance over his shoulder at Bass for orders.

Bass just gritted his teeth, and tried to stand again.

"I DON'T need your help! I'm the world's strongest robo-AUGH!" And again, to his (growing) despair, he was dropped to the ground by his uncooperative leg.

Suddenly, Sonic zipped in front of Nurse Joy, keeping her away from the robot. "Heh, and I thought Shades was stubborn. Dude, if you don't want her help, then have your Robo-Pup take ya back to...whatever dump your creator hangs and have him fix ya up."

Sonic crossed his arms, smirking, "And don't even think about throwing your whining temper at us..."

The Cyber bot walked next to Sonic, kindly waving to Bass.


"Especially in your condition."

[Mage]

The nurse walked past Marina and Sonic. "I appreciate how you two wish to protect me. But I cannot leave an injured man alone, regardless of what he did." She looked down at Bass. "Once your healed up, you can be free to go. Sir."

[Vize Viper]

Treble growl quickly became a SNARL at the sight of the blue hedgehog, and he looked ready to lunge.

"Treble... Down." The black android looked... intrigued.

With a confused look back at Bass, he sat, still between Joy and his master.

"Your dedication to your job is impressive." Bass smirked slightly, seeming to be now ignoring Sonic.

"Even willing to repair someone who just ended the lives of no less than fifty people."

He had yet to see the trophies, but the fact he'd KNOWN how many people were in that building was a little disturbing.

Sonic impatiently waited, tapping his feet on the ground. "You have no idea where you are, huh?"

[Mage]

The woman just warmly smiled at Bass. "You didn't end anyone today, mr Bass." She looked at Sonic and Marina. "You both don't have to worry about me."

Before Bass and Treble knew it, two Chansey were on each side of bass. "Chansey!"

"Chansey are more then strong enough to help." She said, while going to her ambulance to get some medical items.

[Vize Viper]

The android just... stared for a minute, the nurse's comment not QUITE registering at first... but when it did, his reaction was... anticlimactic.

"... What."

Treble was just as confused as his master was. Hadn't there been people in that building? He'd SEEN them, he could SMELL them as he'd searched for Bass!

Something told him he was going to enjoy what he's going to do with this bot. "Hey nurse? Which of the trophies are healed enough to wake up?"
